Pantry Update

Now that I have had some time to live with my organized pantry, I have realized the need for some changes.  Remember those cool space savers I mentioned in my post?  The ones from The Container Store?  Well, I hopped on my computer, ready to order them when I realized there might just be a better way to get more space in my pantry.  And it is free!!!

These blocks were a gift from a really good friend of ours in Raleigh.  He made them for Jonah to play with, and Carson and Camden have loved them as well.  They have been used as forts for army men, mazes for hamsters, and towers to knock over.

And I borrowed just a few for the project I was cooking up (no pun intended).

So, this is how the pantry was looking...

And after the solution...

Here is a before and after shot.  The blocks really didn't give me a ton more space, but they did make it much easier for me to see what I had.  Another bonus is that I don't have to move everything in order to reach the item I need in the back!

I think it would be really easy to do this with just about any "stackable" item you have lying around. Shoe boxes, baskets turned upside down, cookbooks...

I love using things I already own in new and creative ways.
What is something you have repurposed?
